MANILA, Philippines — The International Criminal Court (ICC) gave prosecutors until July 1, 2025 to submit all evidence they planned to use in the confirmation of charges hearing against former president Rodrigo Duterte, who is facing accusations of crimes against humanity in connection with his controversial war on drugs. The ruling warns that any evidence submitted after the cutoff would not be considered in the hearing scheduled for Sept. The court stressed that the prosecution must begin turning over documents and evidence "on a rolling basis," and not wait until the final deadline to comply. The ICC prosecution previously disclosed that it holds at least 421 documents, nine photographs, and nearly 16 hours of audio and video material that would be used to support its case against Duterte.
